====== Cypress CSY-2100 SCART to YUV Converter ====== ===== Features ===== * Converts RGBS to Component Video * Composite Video can be used in leu of Composite Sync (SCART pin 20) * Compatible with both arcade PCBs and consoles (e.g. SNES, Genesis, CPSII) * Does not pass audio though the SCART connector to outputs (i.e. no audio outputs on RCAs). ===== SCART/RGB Pinout ===== The SCART RGB connector on the CSY-2100 is wired to the Standard SCART specification. However, only RGBS and ground pins are used (audio and mode setting pins are not connected). Like stated above both composite video or composite sync can be used on pin 20. Note: Composite video must be used as the sync input, not TTL level C Sync that most consoles output. To obtain proper 1Vp-p C Sync levels you can use one of these circuits: *[[http://www.seekic.com/circuit_diagram/Basic_Circuit/Analog_Circuit/SYN_COMBINER.html]] *[[http://gamesx.com/wiki/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=av:vga_sync_combiner.gif]] or just use the composite signal your console outputs. For the circuits above, input your C Sync after the logic (which combines H+V) The sync (pin 20) is 75ohms terminated to ground at the input. ===== Variable Resistors (Internal Adjustments) ===== There are 6 variable resistors inside the CSY-2100. This section will be updated upon determination of VR function and factory value. ^VR^Default Value^Description ^ |1| TBD | TBD | |2| TBD | TBD | |3| TBD | TBD | |4| TBD | TBD | |5| TBD | TBD | |6| TBD | TBD | ===== External Picture ===== * Shortened SNES SCART Lead with External Audio {{:av:csy2100_00.jpg|}} {{:av:snes_shortrgb_scart_00.jpg|}} ===== Internal Pictures ===== {{:av:csy2100_01.jpg|}} {{:av:csy2100_01a.jpg|}} {{:av:csy2100_02.jpg|}} {{:av:csy2100_SolderSide.jpg|}}
