+SNK used the same pinout for all their consumer Neo hardware.  The Neo, Neo CD (top and front loader) and the CDZ all use the same connector.  The CD systems also have AV and S-video outputs that the cartridge system lacks.  They are standard connectors and aren't listed here.

-This info regards different Neo Geo models and the video + RGB output they produce. The quality of your signal is determined by the manufacture date (referenced by serial number). Some models output a very striped RGB signal, some don't. RGB will still look better than composite. +

-Note: The starting serial # of version 5 is approximate.+

-Note: "S-Video" refers to the S-Video mod, since the Neo does not output S-Video normally.+It should be noted that not all Neo Geo cartridge systems are created equal.  Some have better RGB output than others, some have better composite video than others.  This is covered in some detail [[http://nfg.2y.net/games/neorgb/|in this NFG Games article]].

-NoteKorean Neo Geo systems are Version 7.+There's more information about this difference [[http://nfg.2y.net/games/neorgb2/|in another NFG Games article]], showing more technical details about the changes made between revisions.

-Note: Changes to increase composite video quality were apparently made starting with version 5, but the quality levels given above reflect only that division, and may not accurately indicate quality within versions 1-4, and 5-7. The older composite video was apparently less colourful, but slightly clearer. Versions 5-7 increased the vividness of the colour, while introducing some moire patterns (banding).
